About The Author:

Samantha Hart is the author of Blind Pony, a poignant memoir of growing up in Hollywood as a runaway teen.Sam went on to become a Hollywood studio executive, first in the music industry at Geffen Records, and then in film, responsible for marketing some of the decade’s best-loved independent films. Those years — inside the rooms where deals were struck and reputations made or broken — gave her an unvarnished view of an industrymthat runs on ambition, appetite, and reinvention.

In her debut novel, Desperation Will Kill You, she draws on that world to tell a story of love, power, and revenge set against Hollywood’s last great, ruthless era. She is currently at work on her next novel, Witty, a romantic comedy with an edge. Samantha lives in the Pacific Northwest and sometimes in LA.
