About The Book:
A powerful story about love, courage, sacrifice, resilience, and hope, True Grace, set in 1924 during the Harlem Renaissance and Roaring Twenties, chronicles the journey of an immigrant, mixed-raced woman from The Congo, England, and Jamaica, fighting for her family’s survival.
Inspired by real people and events, Grace must navigate the misogyny and racism of the courts, banks, child welfare system, and bad actors to hold her family together. Calling on her grit, determination, and grace, she must overcome harrowing circumstances. Readers will find themselves hooked from the first riveting chapter and cheering for Grace each step of the way.
About The Author:
Karen E. Osborne is the author of the novels Tangled Lies,Getting It Right, and Reckonings. As a kid in the Bronx, Karen kept friends enthralled with stories of adventures she pretended to have experienced. Marriage, children, and a wonderful career, first as an academic administrator and then co-owner of The Osborne Group consulting and training firm, sidelined her ambition to be a writer until one day Kara, the protagonist in her first novel, began speaking to Karen. That first novel, Getting It Right, was selected by Essence as “One of Summer’s Best Reads.” A native New Yorker, Karen now lives in Port Saint Lucie, FL with her husband Bob. They have two grown children and three grandsons. https://www.kareneosborne.com/
