About The Author:
Linda Mahkovec is the author of the Christmastime series (WWII stories that take place on the home front), And So We Dream, The Garden House, and two short collections, The Dreams of Youth, and Seven Tales of Love. Her latest book is The Notebooks of Honora Gorman: Fairytales, Whimsy, and Wonder.
She writes about family, home, love, friendship, and the search for beauty and meaning. Her protagonists are women with an artistic vision who find connection through painting, writing, gardening, the home arts, or simply having a creative approach to life.
Linda was born and raised in the Midwest and has lived the last thirty years in New York City. She has a PhD in English, specializing in Victorian Literature.
