About The Author:

Amanda DuBois is the founder and managing partner of DuBois Levias Law Group, a woman-owned family law firm with locations in Seattle, Bellevue-Redmond, and Edmonds, Washington.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Amanda was a high-risk labor and delivery nurse at University of Washington Medical Center and she combines her medical and legal knowledge as the author of the Camille Delaney mystery series, which addresses inequities in the legal system while offering a fast-paced reading experience with the twists and turns one would expect from a good thriller. Her third book, Unshackled, will be available in February 2025. Unshackled centers on mothers in prison and the importance of reuniting them with their children.

The Camille Delaney mystery series has won awards and honors from the International Book Awards, the Eric Hoffer Book Awards, the American Legacy Book Awards, and more.

Amanda is also the creative founder, and board member of Civil Survival, an organization that teaches advocacy skills to formerly incarcerated individuals. Civil Survival also provides civil legal aid to individuals struggling with the consequences of incarceration and assists them with reentry.

At her alma mater, Seattle University School of Law, Amanda established the Full Circle Scholarship, which funds tuition for law students who have been directly impacted by the criminal legal system. As a result of the work she’s done to support the formerly incarcerated population, Amanda was awarded the Sally P. Savage Leadership in Philanthropy Award from the Washington State Bar Association and the Washington State Bar Foundation.
