About The Book:

Maddie is struggling with eighth-grade social drama and dealing with blowback from getting caught while pursuing a wild theory, when she thinks she sees the new neighbors kidnapping someone. Having just researched a female spy during the American Revolution called Agent 355 for school, Maddie believes they are Russian spies and convinces her BFF Rachel to help her prove it. While investigating, both girls crush on the new neighbor’s son Alex. Maddie is in a no win situation. If she proves the new neighbors are spies, Alex will hate her. If she doesn’t pursue her theory and dates Alex, she will lose her BFF. But curious Maddie can’t resist a mister. Unfortunately, clever Maddie misses obvious clues and trusts the wrong people, leading to potential life-threatening disaster.

At its core, The Neighbors’ Secret glorifies girl power, pays tribute to female spies, and examines the limits of friendship.

About The Author:

My passion is to create, inspired by a wealth of diverse experiences. I’ve enjoyed many roles, from childhood TV commercials to high school and college plays and musicals. A Duke University and UPenn Carey Law School graduate, I thrived as Editor-in- Chief of the school newspaper and yearbook. As a litigation attorney, I loved crafting persuasive stories from complex cases.

After moving to Bermuda with my husband and baby, I paused my legal career but continued creating through food art, graphic design, and writing. Back in the States, I found joy in sharing worlds through my writing, including ‘The Neighbors’ Secret,’ a middle-grade mystery novel and Tassy Walden Finalist in 2023. I also co-authored the musical ‘Virtually Yours.’ I cherish traveling, playing sports, and, most of all, spending time with my beloved family.
